We’re excited to share that the world’s largest electrochemical ammonia synthesis stack is now being assembled for its first tests. You can see it below in action! Once the full 10-cell stack is running at high current density, we expect to achieve record-breaking ammonia production on the scale of kilograms. In the meantime, we're focused on scaling up electrode production to match the new stack size. Stay tuned for more updates on this after the summer!
At NitroVolt, safety isn’t just a priority, it’s one of our five core values. We hold weekly safety meetings to ensure all employees and students work in a secure and well-prepared environment. In April, we held our first “Simulated Accident Day” to test our emergency procedures. These drills helped us evaluate how well everyone responds under pressure and revealed some valuable areas for improvement. We’re proud to say the day was a success and brought us even closer to our goal of a safer workplace.
April was a month full of valuable outreach for NitroVolt. Suzanne attended the Cultivating Tomorrow seminar hosted by the International Fertilizer Association, where she presented our work and connected with farming associations, fertilizer distributors, and key industry players from around the world. Meanwhile, Alessandro represented NitroVolt at Hannover Messe in Germany, one of the world’s largest industrial trade fairs. There, he forged strong connections with potential partners who can support us as we transition from a lab-based system to our full-scale demo container.
Stay tuned for next month's edition; we’re growing the NitroTeam and kicking off work on an even bigger cell design. World records, here we come!
Best regards,
The NitroTeam
