NitroVolt is excited to share that we have received financial support from the Danish Green Development & Demonstration Programme (Grønt Udviklings- og Demonstrations Program, GUDP in Danish).

GUDP is a government support programme under the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries. Their aim is to promote the development of future food production through financial support for innovative and business-oriented projects. GUDP projects must contribute with solutions to the environmental and climate challenges faced by society.

Meet the project: the NitroBox

The GUDP-funded NitroBox project enables Danish farmers to produce their own green ammonia fertilizer directly on-site using only air, water, and renewable electricity.

This eliminates emissions from both conventional production and transport, while increasing supply chain resilience. The project will develop and demonstrate the first pilot unit producing 5 kg/day of sustainable liquid ammonia at a Danish farm. It serves as a crucial first step toward scaling to larger commercial systems (100–1000 kg/day) that can support both Danish and European agriculture.

Partners

NitroVolt ApS

NitroVolt is the private company awarded with the GUDP funding and developing the NitroBox pilot unit producing 5kg/day of sustainable ammonia.

NitroVolt is the entity in charge of coordinating and communicating with the different GUDP partners in order to make the project work.
