Patent pending lithium- mediated ammonia synthesis process.

The final system will only require air, water, and green electricity to synthesize sustainable and decentral ammonia directly at the point-of-use.

The container-sized units can stand at the farm, greenhouse, or facility generating the necessary ammonia by demand. The technology is easily scalable to fit the needs of any farm.

CEO/Founder, NitroVolt

Frequently
asked questions.

What is ammonia?
What is ammonia?
Ammonia consists of one nitrogen and three hydrogen molecules, and is one of the most commonly produced chemicals in the world.
What is ammonia used for?
What is ammonia used for?
Roughly 80% of all produced ammonia is used for fertilizer. The rest is used as refrigerant gas, waste water purification, the manufacture of plastics, explosives, textiles, pesticides, dyes and many other chemicals.
What is the difference of grey and green ammonia?
What is the difference of grey and green ammonia?
Grey ammonia is produced via the use of fossil fuels, and today leads to about 1.5% of our global greenhouse gas emissions. Green ammonia must be produced using renewable electricity and non-fossil fuel containing inputs.
What sort of ammonia does NitroVolt produce?
What sort of ammonia does NitroVolt produce?
Our Nitrolyzer system produces green ammonia, using just air, water and renewable electricity. There is no CO2 emitted during the production process of our decentralized ammonia.
Is the Nitrolyzer only for agriculture and farming?
Is the Nitrolyzer only for agriculture and farming?
Our Nitrolyzer system can be used for any processes and systems that require ammonia on-site in amounts between 150-1000 kg per day.
What sustainable development goals do you aim to fulfill?
What sustainable development goals do you aim to fulfill?
NitroVolt aims to fulfill the UN sustainable development goals of 2) zero hunger, 12) responsible production and consumption, and 13) climate action.
Is the NitroVolt technology patented?
Is the NitroVolt technology patented?
The Nitrolyzer is supported by 3 pending patents covering the inputs, operation, and flow-cell design and catalysts.
